Four places a connection gets slow

Wi-Fi signal: distance, walls and noise from nearby networks.
Your router: congestion or an overloaded access point.
The internet path: your provider or the route to the service.
DNS: slow lookups make every new site feel sluggish.

Kilobat measures signal and noise, router latency, internet latency and jitter, packet loss and DNS lookup time, and checks for captive portals. Then it says what to try next, like “DNS lookups are slow. Compare Cloudflare or Google DNS, then restore Automatic if it does not help.”
